![]() The higher the value the better for BOTH. One is based on efficiency through wattage and the other is based on maximizing your budget potential. These are two ways to compare the GPUs for mining. So now for the GPU comparison, I will be showing you the top 4 algorithms as of the date of this video, so do keep in mind that the top 4 might change around but what will remain unchanged is the Hashrate per watt and potentially the Hashrate per dollar. Importance Of Overclocking And Undervolting As A Miner On YouTube The Way To Compare GPUs Overclocking and undervolting play a big role in this, I do talk about it a lot in a video about this topic so if you're new to it I highly suggest watching this video. Now of course luck plays a role too, if you get bad silicone or just a bad GPU then it is unfortunate, but in general, if you keep them in cool conditions and not too hot by proper undervolting, airflow, and frequently dusting them, then you will be all set. This will most likely surprise you if you're a new miner, but they can easily mine for 5+ years if taken proper measures. ![]() I would have rather them avoid wasting chips on cards that can’t be recycled within the community in a global chip shortage. There are also a lot of cryptos on the rise lately that can compete with the profitability of ETH so I don’t think that label is going to stop miners at all. Ethereum is going to Proof Of Stake within this year or the beginning of the next, so by then that LHR label is not effective anymore. So this little hashrate label or LHR is only for the Ethash algorithm which includes Ethereum and Ethereum Classic. NVIDIA recently did this thing where they are trying to not let miners use their cards for mining but instead waste resources on really bad mining dedicated cards that can even be reused by gamers. If I did miss something or overlooked a GPU please let me know in the comments below.īuying a GPU now can be scary due to ETH2.0 coming around the corner, so if you are unaware of the ETH 2.0 issue then you can feel free to watch my ETH 2.0 video which will hopefully clear out some doubts for you. I do provide numbers that support my opinion but there is always room for human error. The first thing I want to make clear is that this is all in my opinion.
